Hey guys!
I'm really really sorry I haven't posted in so long.

so i've made a new blog - Beauty Muse. I have a few posts up already and a couple drafted, and i'd be really grateful if you could check it out and maybe follow?

I won't be posting on here anymore, so if you want to see more posts from me then follow Beauty Muse. I will leave this blog open though, just in case anyone wants to look at any of the posts on here :)

REVIEW | no7 stay perfect nail colour
'totally teal'
'highland mist'
hey everyone!
i consider no7 to be a bit of a luxury as it is definitely on the higher priced end of highstreet/drugstore makeup in my opinion. so when the no7 vouchers come out i definitely take advantage!
after recently loosing my love for barry m nail paints (they just peel off!) i decided to try other brands - my favourite being no7.
i love everything about them. the packaging is great, the lids are long which make it easier to hold on to. i also love the brush itself, its almost a dome shape which isn't as thin as other other nail paints i've tried.
the quality of the nail colour is also amazing. the colour is so pigmented and i find that i only need one coat when painting my nails!
i've had highland mist since last year, and i loved it ever since. i think its a gorgeous colour which isn't too much, so is perfect when you want a nail colour that isn't too bold.
totally teal seems to be a cult favourite in the blogging and youtube world and i agree with everyone's views! its such a statement colour, and i absolutely love it!
what i love most about these is that they last so long. their 'stay perfect' title is absolutely right! they stay on for ages, and even though i use a base coat and top coat i found that the barry m nail paints don't last as long as these two!
so that's what makes them my new favourite brand of nail paint!
what are your favourite brands? :)

garnier summer body vs. johnson's holiday skin!
hey everyone!
this post is coming from the holder of the most pastiest legs ever!
in the summer, i find my face, arms and chest tan really easily and i generally go a golden colour. however, when it comes to my legs - nada!
it looks a bit silly really, it looks like i've subtly fake tanned my whole body but forgot to do my legs!
i've always had this fear of fake tan - i've never tried it but i know that if i did i'd end up looking like the love child of an oompa-loompa and snooki!
so i thought it was about time i found a really good gradual tan for my legs!
i've only tried two so i thought i'd review the two that i have tried.
johnson's holiday skin:-
quite frankly, i think this was an absolute let down.
firstly, i am one of those people that when i start using something i want to see results instantly. so when i try a gradual tan i want to start seeing results within about 5 days!
i didn't see any results with this. i even started using it day and night at one point and still nothing! i am quite pale, so i don't think its because i was using the palest one because my legs are so pale they could blind! so if i can't use the subtlest one who can?!
secondly, on the back of the bottle it says that you need to let the moisturiser sink in completely before you put your clothes on, but i wasn't expecting it to take about 10 minutes! i found it left my skin quite sticky and it just sort of sat on the skin and didn't properly sink in.
so as you can proberly tell, i am not a fan of this. it has a pleasant smell i spose, but i didn't use it for the smell i used it for the tan and it didn't do anything :(
1 star - and that's pushing it ;D
garnier summer body:-
after the johnson's holiday skin i had kind of lost faith in gradual tan, but i knew i had to do something about the legs so i had to give another one a go!
my friends had been using the garnier summer body and i had also heard about it in the blogging and youtube community, so i decided to give it a go.
the thing i fell in love with instantly was the smell! it has a gorgeous apricot scent and is just so summery!
i knew it would be moisturising too because its from the same sort of line as the 7 day intensive lotion which i also love.
i noticed results with this within three days which is amazing - i really wasn't expecting to see results that quickly! it gave me a really nice natural colour. i got the most subtle one because of my paleness and it made my legs looked naturally tanned instead of looking so orange!
also, there is absolutely no waiting around for this to sink in. it does say on the back of the bottle that you do have to wait so i was expecting thay it might take a while but i didn't have to wait at all!
i am so happy with this - definitely 5 stars! i am no longer a pale-legged freak :D
i definitely recommend the garnier summer body and steer clear from the johnson's holiday skin!

Hello Stranger!
Well, hello there!
I really hope you are all well, as its pretty obvious that I haven't blogged in ages, in fact its been since April, which is actually quite embarrassing!
But honestly, it has been the season of GCSE's *shudders* and they have had to take priority. And not only have I had to revise, I've had to make sure I see friends and family and just have a bit of almighty chilling time!
However, my exams do end soon - a week tomorrow! Yippeeeeeee! Freedom, well, until September when its A-Level time! But I am quite looking forward to starting my A-Levels because I really enjoy the subjects I want to take and I think it will make the experience a lot more enjoyable - well, as enjoyable as A-Levels can be!
So as I said my exams finish a week tomorrow and then I've got a really long summer, so much more blogging!
Please leave any requests for posts you have down below and I will do my best to do them!
Please forgive me!

review | bomb cosmetics 'choc around the clock' brulee
hey everyone!
i got this from my friend for my birthday like, last september but never got around to using it. then sunday night i decided it smelt too good to leave so i used it for the first time and... oh my god.
okay, it says on the packaging that you drop it into your bath and it relases all sorts of essential oils and shea butter and all that jazz, then you take it out and you can use it again! (which is why it's not looking it's original self in the picture.)
i dropped it in my bath, left it in for about a minute then took it out again. there was a bit of all the essential oils still left on top of it and it felt like heaven! i used it with the lush ma bar bubble bar so you can imagine the wonderful chocolatey smell. when i got in the bath, the water was sooo soft and smelt like absolute heaven! i didn't even need to moisturise when i got out of the bath because my skin was so soft!
in its original packaging, it looks like an adorable little cupcake and it comes in the cupcake case so i'm guessing thats the idea!
i think you can get bomb cosmetics in little bath and body type shops everywhere. i know there's one in my town and one in a little town near me too. they have a website and i would highly recommend trying out some of their products! i'm definitely going to be trying out some more stuff from there!

banana and chocolate chip loaf!
unappetising mashed banana!
about to go in the oven - sorry about the flash!
the finished product :)
hey everyone!
i do love a spot of baking and i decided to make a scrummy banana and chocolate chip loaf! it's fabulous!
here's what you'll need and how to do it!
1 and a half bananas
75g of plain flour
75g of caster sugar
50g of butter
half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
half a teaspoon of baking powder
1 egg
1 tablespoon of milk
50g of chocolate chips (i used milk chocolate)
- Preheat the oven to 160C/325F/Gas mark 3. Grease/line a loaf tin. Mash the banana with a fork in a mixing bowl.
- Add the rest of the ingredients except the chocolate chips. Wisk them together (i used an electric hand wish - will be so much easier!) until combined and smooth.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and pour/spoon the mixture into the loaf tin.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until it's golden brown on top and is shrinking away from the edges of the loaf tin.
- Leave it to cool for a bit, then transfer to a wire cooling rack.
and that's it! easy peasy! and i'm not going to lie it tastes absolutely divine! :)
I hope you give it a go and enjoy it as much as i do hehe!

current faves!
soap and glory clean girls body wash - such a lovely body wash. so moisturising and creamy! its also got that famous floral yet vanillary soap and glory scent, and when i come out of the shower not only do i feel as soft as a marshmallow, i smell good enough to eat! if i do say so myself hehe
soap and glory scrub em and leave em body scrub - great stuff! and its not one of those scrubs where you get a little scrubby thing every now and then, and you have to use one for your whole arm (grr.) there's loads of those little scrubby ball things packed into this! it has the same scent as the clean girls body wash, and those two used together are a lethal showering combination - brilliant!
no7 hot cloth cleanser - i stopped using this for a while, i don't know why, maybe its because i started to get a bit lazy with my skin in the evenings! but lately i've been using it to take off my makeup instead of using a makeup wipe and it leaves my skin feeling so clean and soft. i've been following it up with the clean and clear blackhead clearing daily scrub every evening and it's been doing a lot of good for my skin!
simple rich moisturiser - i only use this in the mornings under my makeup and its great for that! it's also a good moisturiser! i don't know what else to say about it really hehe but its a fabulous moisturier!
umberto giannini salt spray - review here :)
sleek new skin revive foundation - review here :)
maybelline gel liner - i also have a review of this, but it was my first ever post and its quite shocking haha! but its a great gel liner. i don't think there's many good drugstore gel liners out there, but this one is fantastic. stays in place all day and is really pigmented - what else could you want from a gel liner?! highly reccommend this!
prestige higlighter - i've found that i definitely prefer powder highlighters to liquid ones - i definitely favour this to benefit's highbeam! this is part of my everyday makeup routine (when i actually where makeup) and i use it along the tops of my cheekbones and down my nose. it gives a gorgeous glow to the skin!
sarah jessica parker nyc fragrence - this really is the most girliest perfume i think i've ever smelt! and it's definitely my favourite perfume. sooo fruity and floral and a great everyday perfume because its not too heavy but i wear it on all occasions!
miscellaneous favourites...
cherries on snow yankee candle - i got this after christmas when all the christmas yankee candles went down to half price. i really like it because its a strong cherry fragrence but not too strong to be unbearable because its got that light, fresh smell which i suppose is the snow! lovely :-)
the shopaholic books - i've read the shopaholic books before and i absolutely loved them! so much so that i'm reading them a gain! the secret dream world of a shopaholic is the first in the series and i just find them so funny! sophie kinsella is a fabulous author!
i had to stop reading never let me go because i found it so boring - it just dragged on and on! didn't like it at all!
arthur - this is my absolute favourite film of all time! it has russell brand, helen mirren, jennifer garner and the girl from elf in it, and it's the ultimate feel good comedy film! i think everyone needs to see this its just so great!
my ipod - i absolutely love music and my ipod must get use atleast 5 times a day so i thought it was worthy to be in my favourites!

catch up
hey everyone!
so the easter holidays are upon us - yippee! however soon its gcse season and therefore, revision. *boo.* but i refuse to be bogged down with work! i mean, of course i'll be doing revision but a girl's gotta have a break right?! it's definitely gonna be a chilled one, and next week is my friend jemma's 16th so we're going out for a meal for that!
yesterday, i got something of my long fashion wishlist! if you follow me on twitter you may have seen that i FINALLY got a vintage levis denim jacket! aaaaah! and for an absolute bargain price of £6. yes, you saw that correctly. my mum's friend sold it to us and i love it too much. i think i may have just encouraged Kudzai (blog here) to get one hehehe!
i ditched the blondeness on saturday and my auntie put a lovely light brown colour over my hair, but its really natural looking cos some of the blondeness is still showing through so it's brown with a goldnen hint to it. that makes no sense whatsoever. i'm not down on the hair terms.
sorry if you thought this was a boring post but i like to enlighten you on what i've been up to even if you don't care haha!
hope your all well and having a lovely easter break if you're having one!

glowing in the dark
shirt - primark
shorts - primark
shoes - peacocks
necklace - topshop
lipstick - natural collection cranberry
hey everyone!
so this is my outfit from saturday evening. me and my family all went out to celebrate my nan's semi-retirement. it was lovely! i was absolutely stuffed afterwards... i could have just settled for the lasagne but chocolate fudge cake for desert was just too tempting ;D
i also went for something a bit different on my eyes - instead of doing winged liner, i put a bit of black eyeshadow along my lash line. it was nice for a change, but i think i'll be sticking to my winged liner!
hope everyone's well!

TAG | 10 little secrets!
hey everyone!
sorry (again) that i haven't blogged in over a week. and its the same old excuse - school. oh its manic in year 11 haha! but i break up for easter friday so two weeks off - more blogging :D
anyway, i saw this tag on Sammi's channel so i thought i'd give it a go because i really liked the look of it :D
1. What is one product that makes you feel like a million dollars?
ooh mine is definitely red lipstick. i only really where it when i go out at night but sometimes i do wear it during the day and i just absolutely love it! i use the max factor fire lipliner and an avon lipstick, its in a red packaging and its just called 'red' haha. i think there is a shade of red to suit everyone!
2. What is your skincare secret? / A passed down skin care tip
mine isn't really a secret, everyone does it haha! but i really think exfoliating your skin is the best way to get clear skin. you can get loads of different kinds of daily scrubs! its a really great way of getting all the muck out of your skin and you don't have to do it everyday! i do it every other day and i use the clean and clear blackhead clearing daily scrub but i find i do have to moisturise well afterwards cos it really takes all of the oil off your skin!
3. Share your hair care secret?
erm, to be honest i don't really do that much with my hair. i'm getting into the habit of using a deep conditioner once a week, usually on a sunday so i can have a nice relaxing bath too! i use the aussie 3 minute miracle and its great :) oooh another one is salt spray. i LOVE salt spray! makes my hair all toussled and lovely! i love the umberto giannini salt spray!
4. What is your biggest diet rule?
i've just started to eat more healthy so i'm not the greatest person for this! but i'm gonna start just eating sweets and chocolates and all that naughty stuff on the weekend!
5. Any workout tips?
i've also started doing the stepper for 15 minutes each night! it's basically a cross trainer without the arm bit! i also walk home from school everyday, even if its all down hill it still makes me feel good. AND at my school there's this massive towerblock and three of my subjects are at the top so that's gotta count right?!
6. Which perfume is your secret weapon?
sarah jessica parker nyc without any shadow of doubt. it smells so gorgeous - definitely not for people who don't like fruity, sweet, girly perfumes! it stays on my skin for a while i find and i just absolutely love it!
7. Show us a clothing item of yours which always turns heads
erm.. i don't think i really have one? i only wear dresses and skirts really and i don't have any that turn heads i don't think! haha, sorry i have to pass this question! :(
8. What is your most treasured piece of jewellery?
definitely a ring my mum and dad gave me for my 16th birthday. it's a vintage ring and its marquasite (is that how you spell it?) and i wear it a lot - absolutely love it! it's not very statement so it goes with pretty much everything and you can wear it with any other kind of jewellery!
9. Who is your style crush?
i get inspired by people i see in the street really! but if i had to pick a celebrity i'd have to go for everyone's favourite - alexa chung! now SHE has such an amazing style! but i mainly get ideas for outfits from people i see in the street. especially in london! i always see amazingly dressed people in london haha!
10. Tell us something we don't know about you
okay this is gonna sound really lame and not very interesting but i have a dog which i actually love to pieces. he's a chocolate labrador called fudge and he's the most loveliest thing in the world! he doesn't bark at all, only when he dreams! and we treat him like a human pretty much but yeah he's amazing hehe!
thanks for reading!

catch up
hey everyone!
so i've just been into town to have a mooch around with my friend maddie. didn't buy anything but i made a discovery! you know that green barry m lipstick?! it's actually pink! i heard about it the other day but i had to see it for myself. i'm actually shocked! it's magic :o
also, i've just finished a block of exams at school and it feels so good knowing i have a bit of a break from revision! especially for maths - all i want is a c and if i get one this time round i don't have to re-take so fingers crossed! i also did my spanish speaking which i'm really happy with and got some english results back - i have to re-take one of them but that's okay :-)
and i've finally decided what i want to do for my a level choices! i'm going to do re, english literature, spanish and i.t! have any of you taken these a levels? are you studying them now? let me know!
i'm currently reading never let me go by kazuo ishiguro, and i liked it when i first started reading it but i'm not so crazy about it now. i'll probably persevere with it but its getting a bit boring now! do any of you have any good book recommendations?
thanks for reading!

also, i've just finished a block of exams at school and it feels so good knowing i have a bit of a break from revision! especially for maths - all i want is a c and if i get one this time round i don't have to re-take so fingers crossed! i also did my spanish speaking which i'm really happy with and got some english results back - i have to re-take one of them but that's okay :-)
and i've finally decided what i want to do for my a level choices! i'm going to do re, english literature, spanish and i.t! have any of you taken these a levels? are you studying them now? let me know!
i'm currently reading never let me go by kazuo ishiguro, and i liked it when i first started reading it but i'm not so crazy about it now. i'll probably persevere with it but its getting a bit boring now! do any of you have any good book recommendations?
thanks for reading!

review | soap and glory - the righteous butter
hey everyone!
firstly, let me apologize for the fact that i couldn't take my own picture for this review! my camera's almost dead and it's dark now so i couldn't get as good pictures, but i really wanted to do a post tonight :-)
i've had this for a while now, but i kind of went off it for a while and re-discovered it!
firstly, the smell. it has that famous soap and glory smell - floral yet vanillary (word?) and makes me want to eat myself. well, not literally, but it actually smells so lovely! and it's one of those smells that lingers - when i put it on in the morning, throughout the day i can smell it every now and then and it makes me happy :D
secondly, its so so moisturising! it leaves your skin so soft, and it stays soft a fair amount of time! i wouldn't say it stays soft for the longest out of a few of the other body butter/moisturisers i've tried, such as the body shop body butter, but on the other hand i find that the body shop body butters, and other body butters like it, are so heavy and moisturising don't sink in to the skin quick enough, because i don't like it when you can feel it still on your skin! i'd say that the righteous butter takes about 5-10 minutes to sink into the skin.
another bonus for me is the packaging! i think it's so cute - as is all the soap and glory packaging! i also like the little jokey things on their packaging. i know the packaging doesn't make a difference to the product itself, but for me it's a bonus!
do you like this body butter?
and do you guys have any other body butter/moisturiser recommendations? :-)
thanks for reading!

lipbalms!
hey everyone!
does anyone else have annoyingly dry lips? it seriously drives me mad, ugh.
today i thought i'd share with you some of my favourite lipbalms - they're predictable, but they work for me :-)
firstly, carmex.
carmex is my saviour for when my lips are really dry and cracked. i feel like it really moisturises my lips well and makes them tingle hehe! i like that because it makes me feel like it's actually working. it doesn't linger on my lips for ages, it sinks in pretty fast and when the job's done, my lips feel so soft.
i also love the smell! i got the cherry carmex, which smells like cherry with kind of a minty smell to it. you can also get the original and i'm pretty sure there's a mint one too.
it looks yellow in the pot, but there is absolutely no tint to it, which is good because you can slap it on on the go without having to worry if you've put too much on. you can pick this up in boots, superdrug and i'm pretty sure topshop for around the £2 mark which i think is really good considering the fact that it's like a god for your lips! definitely reccommend if you have extremely dry lips which need a bit of tlc!
vasline!
i think everyone must own a few tins of vaseline. i've personally never tried the original or the green, i belive aloe vera one. as you can see from the picture, i own the cocoa butter one, the creme brulee one and the rosy lips one.
i also think that there are very mixed views on vaseline. granted, it's not ideal if you have really dry and cracked lips, because it isn't like carmex in the sense that it gets to the root of the problem. but for people who have normal lips and just want them softened a bit this is perfect! my lips go through stages - they're either really dry or relatively normal. when they're normal i use vaseline because it makes them feel really soft. it almost puts a moisturising film over them, which is really lovely!
i've taken a seperate picture of the rosy lips vaseline because it leaves such a lovely tint to the lips! please excuse the ugly dent in it, i was a wolly who thought it would be smart to put it on on the bus, the bus jolted, the lid went in the vaseline :( but i can get past this because i use this as my lip colour most days! it also has a reasonable staying power aswell! :D

my new favourite book!
hey everyone!
so today i thought i'd share with you my new favourite book - and as you can probably see by the pictures, it's one day by david nicholls!
i finished this book quite a while ago, and i'm not going to do a whole review on it but basically it's about two characters - emma and dexter (em and dex) - and each chapter is covers their lives on the 15th July every year for 20 years - from the night they leave university onwards.
it's such a lovely story, and me being a sucker for this kind of girly books was in my element. i leant it to my friend and she was totally addicted to it aswell!
i think the way david nicholls wrote this was fantastic, which is why straight after i read 'the understudy' and am currently reading 'starter for ten' by him also, which are both fantastic books, but the story of one day is just so great that it's definitely become my favourite book!
i need recommendations though! if you guys like these kind of books, what do you recommend i read? i'm thinking of reading 'never let me go' next, as i love reading books that are films too! i've heard the hunger games are really good, but i don't know if i'd enjoy them, i don't know if they're my kind of style of book? if you're into the same books i read and have read the hunger games, let me know your thoughts because i'm undecided whether to read them or not!

my first mac purchase!
hey everyone!
so i thought i'd blog about my first EVER mac purchase because it's all very exciting and i've wanted something from there for ages. it's not exactly very new, i got it just after christmas when i went to london but just forgot to blog about it!
the item is modesty lipstick which to be fair, i haven't heard much about on blogs or youtube, it's not exactly as popular as lipsticks like angel and shy girl etc, but i do love it very much - its a very 'your lips but better' sort of colour!
i had no idea what i wanted to get when i went into mac (i went to the one in carnaby street.) one of the ladies came over and i was literally like 'show me a lipstick that would suit me,' and when she showed me modesty i was a bit doubtful because it's quite brown (swatch doesn't do it justice!) but when she put it on me i instantly fell in love! and it smells like cake and vanilla, yum. its a cremesheen finish - do they all smell like this?! and it's very long lasting which is brill!
it cost me £13.50 which is obviously a lot of money for a lipstick but i was using christmas money and i've wanted a mac lippie for ages and i thought why the hell not?!
what was your first mac purchase? or what do you want to be your first mac purchase?
thanks for reading!

catch up!
hey everyone!
so i thought i'd do another catch up as i feel like i haven't blogged in ages, even though its only been a week hehe! but its been half term and even though i haven't been very busy, i still haven't managed to blog?! i like doing these writing posts where i just babble on, and i'm going to draft some other posts today so i thought i'd start with this one! :-)
1. i went shopping in brighton with my friend chloe on wednesday but i didn't actually buy anything. mainly because our main reason for going was to have our first nandos! it was reaaaally good. we both had a chicken breast in pitta and chips, and we had the medium heat which i still thought was very spicy! we had a good day other than nandos though! i didn't actually see anything clothing wise, i think its because all the shops are between seasons!
2. i was planning on having a massive chilling day on thursday, that was until about 12:30, and by about 1:15 i'd had my tragus pierced! it was very random. my cousin's girlfriend was getting it done so i went with her and got it done! my mum thought i was only going for moral support and was shocked when i came home with it pierced! she was okay with it, i don't think she thought i was going to get it done though haha! it bloody hurt, they didn't numb it because they said it's so quick they wouldn't need to, and they pierced it with just a plain ball which actually keeps coming off so i may go and get some nice ones to put on it!
3. on friday my friend jemma came round and we watched 'get him to the greek' which i thought was nowhere near as good as arthur (the russell brand version,) i'm probably biased because it's my favourite film but still! it was quite funny, but quite random and weird at the same time!
4. i slept round my friend jess' last weekend and we both woke to the news that whitney houston had died, which is very sad! i'm not gonna sit here and say i was a massive fan or follower of her music because i wasn't, and obviously she had an amazing voice but i never listened to her music, but it's still very sad. on a more positive note, me and jess had a good time watching take me out and chilling out hehe!
5. back to school tomorrow, ugh. i feel like its getting far too serious for my liking now! gcse's and all that jazz. and the thought of getting up at 7am 5 days a week actually makes me want to cry. ahhh well! it's got to be done!
hope you all had a good week

boots tea tree and witch hazel foaming face wash review
hey everyone!
so today i thought i'd review my new face wash - the boots tea tree and witch hazel foaming face wash!
now before i get on to the review, i thought i'd give a quick background on my skin. i've never had any major troubles with my skin, i get blackheads quite bad on my chin and around my mouth, i don't get spots normally but when i do they are on my cheeks close to my nose, and that's where my skin is oiliest. my forehead doesn't get oily at all, and my chin only gets a little bit oily. the worst thing i find about my skin is the fact that i have quite bad redness around my nose and my skin is just generally pink which makes it hard for me to find good blushes!
i thought i'd review this because it's not a popular brand like simple or neutrogena, but its still just as good! i brought this at the beginning of december and i've used it pretty much everyday since i brought it!
i've found it really does help to keep my skin clear, and before my skin was quite uneven and this has really sorted that out! i'd heard that the ingredients tea tree and witch hazel are really good for your skin, and this has definitely proved that right!
i also love how its so simple to use - i just splash my face with warm water to open my pores, put this on, then wash it off with cold water to close my pores. i then follow it up with the simple light moisturiser
the only critisism i have is the pump, because i find it tends to pump out too much, but the product only cos around the £3 mark, so if it was more this would be a bigger problem!i really do think this has helped to keep my skin clear, its so simple but so effective!
i recommend it highly - 5/5 :-)
